IN RECOGNITION OF WORLD MENTAL HEALTH DAY ON 10th OCTOBER eAlliance has created a package of online resources for businesses and organisations that want to support their employees’ mental health and wellbeing.
The increase in anxiety, depression and other mental health issues since the onset of COVID is alarming. At the end of May this year NHS Digital reported that 1.62 million people were in contact with mental health services. In their workplace depression statistics for 2022, Champion Health state that 52% of employees are experiencing some sort of depression, yet only 9% of employees are currently seeking mental health support.
These statistics highlight the need for continued mental health awareness and support for both employers and employees, as well as understanding the value of improved wellbeing.
