A.I. is a topic that likely to only grow moving forward, and the team intend to provide further updates as the picture evolves and the legal industry responds in turn.

Breach Management – A practical Guide
During late 2022 and early 2023 Access Legal launched a 3-part series covering Breach Management.
The series aimed to work through various real-world user cases and scenarios where firms had encountered regulatory breach and offer practical insights into where things had gone well, where there were improvement opportunities and how these could be prevented in future.
The series proved very popular, and with this in mind we’re pleased to launch a new Practical Guide version consolidating the learning from the series into a single webinar combined with updated guidance and scenarios.
This webinar provides an insight into the rules that apply to reporting breaches, and a series of case studies showing what you should consider when deciding whether or not a breach should be reported to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
This webinar replaces the previous Breach Management webinar series which has now retired.
Monthly Compliance update – May 2024
On the first Thursday of each month, Brian Rogers hosts a 45-minute compliance update webinar for the legal profession. These sessions have proven very popular with our clients and this month we had over 2,000 registrants for the live broadcast.
These update webinars focus on current and upcoming events within the legal regulatory space and some of the topics we covered in this edition were:
- Regulatory consultation reviws.
- Unethical conduct.

- …and much more.
Sexual Harassment in Law Firms
This month we’ve launched a fully updated version of our Sexual Harassment course which replaces its predecessor. The course ensures legal professionals understand their obligations towards vulnerable clients and safeguarding.
Consisting of three activities, it details how to recognise the signs of a vulnerable client, how to discuss vulnerability issues and adapt your services to meet clients’ needs, as well as providing an overview of and best practice for safeguarding.
The course includes video advice from a practicing Private Client Solicitor, and it also features a number of realistic scenarios to demonstrate how legal professionals may encounter vulnerable clients in their day-to-day work – and how best to respond to ensure compliance with SRA requirements.
The course concludes with an assessment.
After completing this training, learners will be able to:
- Define and identify sexual harassment.
- List relevant legislation and firm obligations.
- Describe appropriate ways to challenge sexual harassment and support colleagues.
